IN THE NAME OF GOD

CONDOLENCE TO ALL THE LOVERS OF IMAM ALI ON THE OCCASION OF MARTYRDOM OF AMIR ALMOMENIN IMAM ALI (PEACE BE UPON HIM)

Amir Almomenin Ali (p.b.u.h.) prescribes in defining Islam: “Islam means being submitted to the reality.

The most fundamental condition for health of heart is to be submitted against truth. Submission has three stages: bending to body, bending to wisdom, bending to heart. When two parties struggle and one feels defeated, he might submit. In such cases, usually the defeated one takes up hands and stops fighting. He acts in the same way his party orders. In such a submission, body and physics bow, but not the thought and mind. He is disobeying and thinks how to find an opportunity to defeat the party again.

The second stage of submission is that of mind and thought. A power which might make wisdom submit, is the power of logics and reasoning. Thought and reasoning capture mind and make it submitted. If there is enough cause to be presented to mind and to understands it, it will submit, even if all the powers of the world prohibit it!

It has been narrated that when Galileo was tortured for his beliefs in movement of the land and centralization of sun, he repented being frightened of fire, but he wrote down something on the same moment. He wrote: “Force might make the man take out his words, but mind of man is never submitted, except if it encounters the power of logics and reasoning.

The third stage of submission of that of heart and the reality of faith is submission of heart. If submission of tongue, mind, or intellect are not accompanied by submission of heart, it will not serve as faith. Submission of heart is equal to submission of the whole body of man and negation of any challenge. Some one might be submitted to a thought, even logically and intellectually, but his soul will not submit.

When somebody challenges for his being prejudiced, or when he does not agree with reality for his personal interests, his mind, thought, and intellect are submitted, but his soul disagrees and does not submit, so, he lacks faith. Because reality of faith is the same as submission of heart and soul.

Almighty God prescribes in Sura: Baghareh, verse: 208: “Those Who are converted! Enter the castle of submission and do not follow up the steps of Satan. Do not let your soul fight with your intellect. Do not let your senses fight with your comprehension.

The story of Satan mentioned in Koran is a sample of the case when heart is blasphemous but intellect submits. Satan knew God and believed in resurrection and acknowledged to the rank of prophets and Imams, but God called him blasphemous and prescribed that he was among the blasphemous (sura: Baghareh, verse: 34). In fact his heart rebelled against his comprehension and denied to accept the reality and his heart did not submit.

The real Islam is when one is submitted to reality through his heart, when he opens the doors of his heart to the reality, so that he accepts the truth and takes action according to it.

Imam Sadegh (p.b.u.h.) was asked how a faithful man is known? He prescribed: “He is known by his being submitted to Almighty God and by being satisfied with the troubles imposed on him.”

The soul of obedience is a means of deporting and as long as man has not obeyed, he will reach nowhere. The sing of being a slave of God is when one is released of his self and when he destroys self upon his Imam’s instructions and obeys his creator. Such a creature is like all the others who are all obedient of God. When Almighty God prescribes: There is no one in the sky and on the land, except if he is obeying God. (sura: Maryam, verse: 93).

An obedient creature does not expect anything but satisfaction of Creator and joining him. Sadness and happiness, health and disease do not make any difference, as long as self-governing has not been destroyed and the good state of health of soul is replaced.

I have come towards you, poor, tired, seeking mercy!

I seek nothing but your kindness

Last night in the bar I heard:

Be satisfied! Do not escape your destination.

There is no obstacle between the lover and the beloved

Except you, yourself, so, stand up.
