CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE SHIITE OF THE WORLD ON THE OCCASION OF BIRTHDAY OF IMAM HOSSEIN

Imam Hossein (peace be upon him) prescribed: “Whoever comes to us, shall not lose four characteristics in four things; the fixed reasons and signs, fair judgment, the suitable and helping brother, association with the scientists and connoisseurs.”

Aurora of the 3^rd day of Shaban, the 3^rd year of Hijrat, is one of the brightest and the most beautiful cockcrows, because the pure and bright light of Hossein ibn Ali (p.b.u.h.) began to shine.

His birthday was announced to prophet (p.b.u.h.) and he embraced the baby and whispered call to prayers in his right ear and repeated call to prayers in his left ear. Then, Gabriel emerged and stated: “Almighty God greets to you and prescribes since Ali (p.b.u.h.) is to you like Aaron to Moses, so, name him like the youngest son of Aaron, which is Shobair, and since your language is Arabic, you call him Hossain”.

Hazrat Rasoul (p.b.u.h.) kissed him just as Imam Hossein was born, kissed him and cried much and prescribed: a great catastrophe shall come to you, May Almighty God curse your murderer.

After seven days lapsed of birthday of Imam Hossein (p.b.u.h.) Prophet (p.b.u.h.) sacrificed to him a sheep, cut his hairs, devoted to the weight of his hairs, silver and prescribed: “My God! I request you to help these sons (Imam Hossein & Imam Hassan) what Abram had requested you to bestow to his family. God! Love them and love whoever loves them and curse whoever is hostile to them, such a curse that might fill the sky and the land.

Imam Hossain (p.b.u.h.) was the most similar among the others to the last prophet (p.b.u.h.) in his behaviors and thoughts. It has been narrated about Ibn Shahr Ashoub that Hazrat Fatemeh (p.b.u.h.) took the sons to serve prophet (p.b.u.h.) and stated: “Oh! Prophet of God! Grant to the children the gifts. Prophet (p.b.u.h.) prescribed: “I bestowed my grandeur and solemnity to Hassan (p.b.u.h.) my brevity and munificence to Hossein (p.b.u.h.).”

Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.) asked some questions from his son Hossein (p.b.u.h.):

-          My son, how can one obtain good personality and masterhood?

-Hossein: Being kind to one’s family and one’s relatives and bearing the hard casualties.

-What is self-containment and opulence?

-Wishing less and being satisfied with whatever God has considered.

-What is poverty?

-Being greedy and disappointed of success.

-What is meanness?

-Meanness of a man is that he wishes for himself everything and is enchanted by happiness and desires.

-What is ugly?

-It is where some one feels foe to his leader (the true leader).

Then, Ali (p.b.u.h.) prescribed to one of his friends named Hares Aavar: “teach to your children the wise speeches, because the speeches will increase wisdom and will firm the thought.”
