Imam Mohammad Bagher (p.b.u.h.)
prescribed: “
Indeed the hearts are divided into four types: 1. A heart where there
are hypocrisy and faith, 2. A heart which is reversed and defeated,
3. A heart which is sealed and darkened, 4. A heart which is bright
and clean, which is lighted like a torch”
in continuation he explains: “In a heart where there is hypocrisy and
faith, good and evil fight continuously so that finally one overcomes
the other, just like those of Taef. So, if each of them encounters
death at discord, he will perish and if his death comes when he is
faithful, he shall be saved”.
A heart which is reserve and
defeated, is that of the
blasphemous, the
pagan, where there is nothing.
A heart which is sealed and
darkened, is that of the
dissenter.
A heart which is lighted and
clean, is that of the
faithful man. A heart
which is open with the lighted lamps that are not turned out till the
day of pandemonium. If God graces him, he will
appreciate and if
something bad happens to him, he shall wait.
The division of heart by
Imam Mohammad Bagher (p.b.u.h.) is a general and brief one and it
shall be said that there are grades and levels for every division.
Heart of a faithful man is on the direct path;
because it has not deviated its divine nature and shall be always in
compliance with that and shall move in the same direct and firm path.
But, the
other hearts which are
deviated from the correct path, are astray.
The heart of the blasphemous
and pagan is out of the divine nature and astray of the path of right.
The heart of a dissenter is
full of darkness and boredom, contradictory with the principle of
nature. The boredom such as ill-advised bigotry, evil ethics,
self-love, ambition, … and this is for the same reason that the heart
of a dissenter might not accept the truth and the surface of his heart
is like a surface of a paper which has become totally black and blur.
But, he has used expression of faith as a means for his advancement of
the world affairs.
If a person thinks only
about the world and the world affairs or if he is far from memory and
chant of God, even if he is faithful to the origin and to
resurrection, but, he will have a pitch-dark and reverse heart.
His believing in the origin
and to resurrection is not together with a complete faith and has no
value, because if
faith does not lead
man to act, it will not be a real faith and will bear no profit.
Such a man might not be
considered as a faithful man, but if he dies with the same beliefs, he
shall be considered hypocrite.
One shall take care that the
effects of his faith are shown by his appearance and his inner side
and anyone, as he claims for faith at his heart, shall act
accordingly, so that the roots of faith are firm in his heart and this
divine trust will be
returned based on the same initial nature to the sacred divinity.
