MEANING OF THE WORD:

The word : velayat means supervisor , approach , being at height , domain , strength , consistency , friendship , kindness , victory , guardian and owner. Velayat used by the word: imam , means: leader , chief , and if used by the word: caliph , it means succession , lieutenancy , crown prince. But , he is a person who has affection and friendship while he is also a supervisor and chief and whoever has such specifications , will lead those who are located at lower social and spiritual ranks in comparison with the chief. If there has been another guardian before him , he will be a successor and will replace him.

MEANING OF THE TERM:

The word velayat in Quran is used for a person who is entitled to own whatever he governs. Mola , Vali ( guardian ) is a person who possesses some thing. He is able to lead the people. He has deserved superior rank in comparison with others , one who is able to make the decisions and is qualified to govern on a nation. He is the director , the true director and for the same reason , they know him as imam and he is able to be guardian of the people.

CONTENTS OF VERSES ON VELAYAT:

Velayat from view-point of Quran is a rank belonging to God indeed. For his knowledge of the whole creation and for his indefinite power , God is the only complete independent guardian. In humans ranks , God will grant it to man who is much near to God and is much far from satan. The first person having such a rank is the prophet. After prophet , the friends and special people near to God who are capable of being trusted will reach the rank of guardian. Special guardian of God not following satanic desires will lead the whole creation. This man is caliph of God , in other words he is a successor of God on the earth.

A person can be successor of God who enjoys the divine properties , actions and specifications. Though man is a creature and God is the creature , but according to Quran , for enjoying wisdom , knowledge , soul and divine power , he can be a sample of such a rank was granted to Abram-caliph of God. A test of slaughter of Ismail at Mana. This rank is the peak of prophecy. The prophet is responsible for making the people aware and guiding them to God.

Guardianship is divided into two sectors:

Formative guardianship : this type of guardianship is allocated to comprehensive influence of God on the affairs of the creatures (including animal , man , vegetable , etc)

Religious guardianship : comprehensive guardianship of God and then the prophet and imam of the people is just for guardiance of the people and their education. But , just as it is mentioned within the framework of political leadership and government on the people , and caliph of the people , he will be a spiritual leader of the people enjoying the rank of caliph of God and reflecting the divine characteristics. Just as God prescribed in Ghadir Narration.

Velayat is the rank of comlete religion and complete grants and attraction of satisfaction of God. Prophet peace be upon him and his progeny prescribed in the event of Ghadir khom : “ whoever I have been his leader , Ali will be his leader from now on .” and this velayat does not mean affection and supervision , but the leadership , succession of God on earth , is the same as authority and power of administration of the world of creation . a person can reach the rank of velayat , who is the special creature of God. Patience in servitude of God together with principles and rules of the religion , and domain of God on the velayat. One who enjoys faith and patience can be successor of God on the earth and can be imam of the people.

In the next stage , the guardian is a person who enjoys purity of soul and knowledge and high spiritual comprehension , so that he would find the power to change and to alter the creation. This power is named benevolence.to obtain bounty , divine science and divine knowledge of creatures which is the same as science of inside of the creatures and a concealed relationship with God and prophet and pure people should be achieved. This rank will be fulfilled when purity is attached to the other specifications. But , a man enjoying such virtue is a complete sing of God. He is a creature of God. There is no property in God , except if it is available in his creature. For the same reason , Ali Ibn Abitaleb ( p.b.u.h ) is the guardian of God , imam of the people , caliph of the prophet. He is a complete sample of God both in the government and in spirituality and will continue the path of prophecy and guidance. The event of Ghadir is the most complete evidence of this affair and has been accepted by all the Moslems.

The knowledgeable Moslem from all the sects , accept this event and massage of prophet to the Moslem in the field of imam Ali’s gaining the rank of imam and the sacred verse of Quran in completion of religion and grant to Moslem and acceptance of Islam as a complete religion. Enormity of Ghadir in proving velayat and its role in completion of the religion and grant ot Moslems is not concealed to anyone and this Eid , is the greatest Eid of Moslems and its enormity lies in the contents of the sacred verse and speeches of prophet(p.b.u.h).
