IN THE NAME OF GOD
Congratulations to all the Shiites of the world on Birthday of
Imam Hassan Askari (p.b.u.h.)
Abou Mohammad
Hassan ibn Ali, the Eleventh Imam was born on 8th day of
month: Rabiol Aval, the year: 232 (lunar calendar) in Medina.
His life is
divided into three periods:
-
The first period: 13 years in Median
-
The second period: 10 years in Samera, before his Imamate
-
The Third period: about 6 years as during which he was Imam
Imam Hassan
Askari (p.b.u.h.) accompanied by his respectful father immigrated from
Median to Samera in the year: 243 (lunar calendar) upon invitation of
Motevakel Abbasi. What is certain, is the fact that these two
respectful Imams were invited to Samera, the center of Abbasid Caliph
in that era- in some respects like the policy Mamoon made in making
Imam Reza (p.b.u.h.) immigrate to Khorasan. The same policy was for
control of the relations of Imam with Shiite and would facilitate for
the government the identification of the Shiite who had close
relationship with their Imam throughout the Islamic lands who were
dangerous to the government.
During the time,
Imam was living in this city, except the periods during which he was
imprisoned, he was an ordinary citizen and was naturally under
complete and cautious supervision of the government. Thus, if Imams of
Shiite including Imam Hassan Askari (p.b.u.h.) would enjoy freedom,
they would select Medina for living, thus, his long staying in Samera,
might not be justified except for the reason that he was arrested by
Abbasid Caliph. Thus, such a problem, specially due to existence of a
regular network of Shiite which had been formed for a long time, was
very important for the caliph and made him worried and terrified.
Therefore, to control the same case, they had asked Imam (p.b.u.h.) to
report to the government repeatedly his presence in Samera, as
according to the narrations of one of the servants of Imam, he had to
attend the court every Monday and Thursday. For this reason, it was
very difficult for him to have relationships with the Shiite.
On the other
hand, the fact that the Shiite were scattered during the ending sixty
years of presence of Imam up to the commencement of short period of
his absence, lead to consideration of the regular systems for having
relationship with the innocent Imam. The same system and network was
formed by election of the attorneys by Imams and by creating
relationships between Imam and his attorneys, specially on
correspondence form, it was tried to present the necessary religious
and political guidelines. The same movement continued during the
imamate of Imam Hassan Askari (p.b.u.h.).
The people
enjoying bright scientific records and also fixed relationship with
the previous Imams or with Imam Hassan Askari (p.b.u.h.) and could
support the Shiite by narrations, were elected as agents.
There were
hierarchies among the agents of the regions, through which financial
rights of Imam would be received by the main agent and would be given
to Imam, through him.
Creation and
preservation of such links would revive the Shiite in the area of
cultural and social life and would avoid appearance of any weak point
in their organizations. Further, impact of the schools of though such
as Vaghefieh and Gholat and the other deviating thoughts among the
Shiite, specially those Shiite who were living in the areas far from
the residence of Imam were controlled and removed through the same
way.
Moreover,
enjoying such an exact relationship system would guarantee the current
of knowledge and foresight necessary throughout the Shiite
communities, as the regions such as Cashmere and Samarqand, though
they were very far from the living centers of Imams (p.b.u.h.), were
raising an important part of Shiite men of thought
Of course,
another important point in such multi-chain relations was preparation
of the Shiite for absence of the 12th Imam (May Almighty
God Hasten his Coming). Imam Hassan Askari (p.b.u.h.) had announced to
his followers –like his great fathers- the necessary news (specially
at that time) and had guided them to wait for Imam and to rebel for
him. A sample of such letters, is a handwriting of Imam (p.b.u.h.) to
Hossein ibn Babouyeh Ghomi, the great Shiite jurist, reading: “Thou!
Ibn Babouyeh! You should be patient and wait for his coming, because
the prophet (p.b.u.h.) has prescribed: The best actions of my nation
is to wait for his coming.”
Sorrow of the
Shiite will continue, so that my son, Mahdi (May Almighty God Hasten
in His Coming) comes, i.e. the same man prophet (p.b.u.h.) has told:
“He will fill the land with justice, just as it had been filled with
oppression.”
“Oh! Sheikh! Be patient and instruct all my Shiite to wait. Because,
in the end the pious creatures of God shall inherit the land.”
Greetings to all
the Shiite and the graces of God and greetings to Mohammad (p.b.u.h.)
and his progeny.
