Ghadir Khom Feast Congratulations to all the Shiite of the World

To some people who had newly inverted to Islam and probably some older Muslims, death of prophet (peace be upon him and his progeny) was unbelievable, because they had witnessed themselves that a man rebelled for God and united Saudi Arabia which was anxious and disordered and frightened up to that time and had not seen the unity and concentration. There were the different tribes who were enemies to each other and had no art but to kill and to pillage, but he united all and created a government based on religion and divine decrees. He destroyed the civil wars and internal struggles in that land, among the people who were not brothers and were not kind to each other. So, how was it possible that a man with such a miraculous power, live like the other people and die like them?

No! it is impossible. He shall not die and shall stay eternal. This was the presumption of a group of the people, when they heard the news of depart of Mohammad (peace be upon him and his progeny).

Now, what the Muslims shall do? Who shall administer such a wide government? Doubtlessly, the people will have no religious leader, no prophet, because Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) had said: “There shall come no prophet after me” it has been announced in Koran that Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) was the last prophet. So, who should be responsible for leadership of the Islamic nation?

But, this is true that prophet was alive. He was alive in the body of Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.). Religion of prophet was the strong existence of Ali (p.b.u.h.). Prophet was the soul of Ali (p.b.u.h.). The unique superman of the history rebelled in a region named Ghadir Khom and suffering from weakness and fatigue imposed by his last travel (the pilgrimage to Mecca to farewell) he takes up the hands of a man by his hands and says: “Whoever has accepted my prophecy would have Ali as his master, from now on. God! Join to everyone who will be a friend to him and be foe of anyone who might be enemy to him, love whoever who loves him and humble anyone who feels enemy to him and support him, wherever he goes. Those who are present here, should announce it to all those who are not present.”

Anecdote of Ghadir is a narration which is repeated several times by the Shiite and Sunni men of thought, having been narrated for a long time and having been composed by the poets who were present in the gathering.

It was in the prophet’s travel of farewell to Mecca when prophet prescribed: “People! I do not know if I might see you the next year or not! I put steps on any blood poured in negligence. Your blood and your things are prohibited, so that you will meet God.

Coming back to Medina, at Jofe, where the paths of the people living in Egypt, Iraq, Hijaz are separated, in a place, named: Ghadir Khom, God ordered the prophet to elect Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.) as his successor, in more clear words, to determine the destiny of Islam after prophet (p.b.u.h.). Prophet of God gathered the Muslims who were about 90 to 100 thousands and elected Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.) as his successor.

Ghadir Khom is a light scattered by Islam. A sun which shall not set when Ali (p.b.u.h.) is present. We hold feast on that day, because prophet decided to keep Islam alive by Ali (p.b.u.h.). Then, the pure succession of Alavid shall emerge by our Imams. On the occasion of feast of Ghadir, Islam shall keep alive though prophet has died and Muslims propagate Islam being in love with Imam Ali (p.b.u.h.).

So, Ghadir Khom was propagated by Ali (p.b.u.h.), the pure Islam of prophet Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) was propagated by Ali (p.b.u.h.).

Ghadir Khom means Shiite, Shiite which instructed us that our leaders have been born by the pure generation of daughter of prophet and Ali (p.b.u.h.).

Ghadir Khom means believing in Islam, a religion of Islam in which prophet considers no one but Ali (p.b.u.h.) deserved for this prophecy.

Ghadir Khom means propagation of all the pureness and traditions of all those who propagate generation of prophet (p.b.u.h.) and his pure generation.
