MARTYRDOM OF IMAM SADEGH
(peace be upon him)
Imam Jafar Sadegh was martyred under order of 3rd Mansour Davanighi on 25th day of
shaval, the year: 148 Hijri Ghamari.
When he commenced to act as an Imam , he was 34 years old. His time being considered the basis for
Shiism. He used the opportunity that Bani Omayeh and Bani Abass were
at war and established a seminary at a deep and wide level
comprising 4000 students. He revealed the pure Islam of Mohammad
(peace be upon him and his progeny) and Ali (p.b.u.h.) and removed
the cover Bani Omayeh and Bani Abbas had put on
it.

Jafari School of Thought was significant
in that it was purifying the students firstly , and then it was
teaching to them and made all to read science to put it into
practice and to learn knowledge to serve the religion and to protect
prestige of their souls.
Imam Sadegh stated : whoever learns science in a way other than that , will be far from
science.2
Though Imam Sadegh had been present at many different scenes , but there was nothing more important at that
time than cultural revolution and movement of Ali , as the basis of
all the movements. By his scholarly foresight based on Islamic
forces and revisions and the pure jurisprudence of family of prophet
, he developed Islamic thought and hereby served the world of
Islam.
He planted a tree which grow to a desirable tree to spread the bright impact to everywhere , for the
same reason , jurisprudence of Islam is called Jafari
jurisprudence.3
Once , Imam Sadegh was present in a meeting held by Mansour Davanighi , where an Indian scientist was
reading books of medicine and Imam Sadegh (p.b.u.h.) was listening
to him. Then he told to Imam Sadegh : Do you like if I teach to you
science of medicine ? Imam replied : No , because what I have
obtained of medicine is much better than what you have obtained! He
asked , what have you obtained ? Imam Sadegh replied : I treat
warmness with coldness and coldness with warmness and dryness with
wet and wet with dryness , relying on Almighty God and prescriptions
of holy prophet of Islam. He stated : gastro is the center of pain
and taking care and abstinence in having food is the same as
medicine and we act according to our habits. Then , Imam Sadegh
asked him some questions. The Indian scientist couldn’t reply them.
The Indian scientist asked : where did you find the science ? Imam
Sadegh stated : I obtained it from my fathers , my fathers learnt it
from prophet of God and prophet of God learnt it from Jebraeil and
Jebraeil learnt it from pure soul of God. The Indian scientist
certified oneness of God and mission of holy prophet and told to
Imam Sadegh : Evidently , you are the most conscious of the people
of your time. 4
Valuable prescriptions of Imam Sadegh :
three specifications will create friendship with others 1- Being
religious (being faithful to God) , 2- Being Humble (humility) , 3-
Being Generous.
