It has been narrated through valid sayings that Hazrat Khezr (p.b.u.h.) came quickly on the day Amir Almomenin was martyred, crying and mourning, he stood at home of Amir Almomenin (p.b.u.h.) and said: “Bless you! Father of Hassan, you were the first tribe of Islam, the purest one in faith, the strongest one in certainty, the most fearful towards God.”

Prophet of God prescribed: “Dear Ali! God has sent to me his revelation to retell your virtues and goodness and I did it and I notified whatever I was ordered to. Dear Ali! Know that after me, those who have concealed at their hearts your hatred will reveal it. May God curse them.” Then prophet of God began to cry. He was asked why he was crying. He stated: “Gabriel has informed to me that the people oppress him and usurp him, kill him and his children, and oppress him after he himself.  Ali! You are the oppressed after me and I will be the enemy of everyone till the pandemonium who is your enemy.”

After prophet of Islam (peace be upon him and his progeny) Ali (p.b.u.h.) was the most deserved person to administer the affairs of Islamic society and within the domain of Islam, no one would was equal with Ali in piety, virtue, attainment, jurisprudence, judicial power, jihad, endeavors in the path of God, except the prophet. For the same reason, he was several times announced to be the future leader of Moslems, specially in Ghadir. But, the way of Islamic caliph deviated after prophet and Ali (p.b.u.h.) was far from the political scene and the center of decisions in administration of affairs of Islamic society. But, he did not tolerate this deviation and considered it discriminatory to keep silent against it and criticized several times by his serene reasoning the caliph and his opponents and protested to them. But, the path of events showed that caliph and his fellows insisted on keeping the power. Imam (p.b.u.h.) stated in Shaghshaghieh Oration: “I left the gown for caliph and stood aside of it while I was thinking if to stand up lonely or to keep patient in an environment full of barbarism and outrage. An environment which makes the old weary, the youths old, the faithful men suffering, till their lives end. I saw that patience is nearer to wisdom and intelligence, so I kept patient, but I looked like a person who had to bear a barb in his eye and a bone in his throat. I witnessed that my heritage was stolen.”

1. Interpretation of Koran and training students like Abdollah ibn Abbas who is the greatest interpreter of Islam among the friends of prophet.
2. Replying to the questions propounded by the scientists of the nations of the world and even the caliphs of the time in political problems, because the Jews and Christians would find no one but Ali (p.b.u.h.) to reply to them who was influent on old and new testaments as it was clear in his speeches.
3. Statement of religious happenings which had newly occurred in Islam with nor previous record.
4. Education of a group of pure souls and natures ready for taking the path of Allah.
5. Making efforts to support many helpless people and beggars. Imam was establishing gardens and digging water channels to endow them in the path of God.  

But, at last the period of patience and tolerance of Imam with the powers was terminated after 25 years passed of the time the prophet passed away, when Osman was died. The period Imam Ali was caliph and was governing on Moslems began. A period which was all justice and equality when original traditions of Islam were renewed. But, after four years and a half of the period Imam Ali was Caliph of Moslems, some opposite lines were formed against the government which at last lead to the three fights with Nakesin (Jamal War), Ghasetin (Seffin War), Mareghin (Khavarej War) and at last Ali (p.b.u.h.) was sword in the 19^th night of month: Ramadan, 4^th day of Hijri by Abdolrahman Ibn Moljam Moradi, one of the Mareghin.  

In 19^th day of month: Ramadan, 40^th year of Hijrat, Ali (p.b.u.h.)   said: “My God keep death sacred to me and let me joyfully meet you.”   Then he went to mosque and was repeating prayers, prayers, …and awakening those slept. Ibn Moljam was among those who had slept, but he had kept awakened the whole night.

Since, Amir Almomenin (p.b.u.h.) reached him and said: “Get up to pray and do not sleep, such as sleep is that of Satan. Sleep on your right hand, this is the sleep of the faithful persons, or sleep on your left hand which is the sleep of the sleep of the rulers.” Then he stated: You have something in your mind which is going to fall from the skies. If I want, I can announce what you have under your gown.” He passed him and went to Alter, and stood to pray. When Amir Almomenin sat after the prostration in first unit of his prayer, Ibn Moljam moved his sword and fell it down on his crown. Imam said: “Order of God came to me and it became true what prophet of God had said. I was saved for God’s sake.” He ordered Imam Hassan to stay to lead the prayers for the people and he sat down to complete his own prayers.

When Ibn Molam was brought to the mosque by closed hands, Imam Ali suggested to Imam Hassan to be fair to him and said: “Be kind to the slave and treat him mercifully. My son! We are the relatives of prophet of mercy and remission, so let him eat what you eat yourself. If I die, do not take revenge and do not burn his corpse and do not truncate him, because I heard from your grandfather when he prescribed: Do not truncate others, even if it is a dead dog. If I remain alive, I will know better how to treat him.” Imam was taken home from the mosque while he was quite weakened. When it was the 21^st night of Ramadan, he gathered his family and his children and told farewell to them and stated: “Hassan! I testate you to your brother Hossein. You are from me and I am from you”. He suggested the other children to obey Imam Hassan (p.b.u.h.). He wished that Almighty God grace his children good patience and said: “I suggest you to be pious and charitable and observe the orders of God and let your heart be with Him. To keep the rope of God’s obedience, since there is nothing more firm and more sound than the means between the creatures and their God.

Mrs. Amin stated: “Probably the means between the creature and God is the means of kindness, because it is the only thing which makes the creature connected to creator. Thus, it means that the rope of kindness which is fixed between you and God should be kept firm. It might mean Koran when He says keep the rope (Koran) so that you are not scattered.

Imam added: “Let your heart be alive by preaches and your soul balanced with piety and leaving the lust and let your heart be powerful with the cultures and instructions, be faithful to your beliefs, let it lighted with knowledge (i.e. knowledge of the objects just as they are). Let your heart calmed by remembering death, let your eyes see the painful disasters and fear the attach of the time and the ugliness of rotation of the earth, present to your heart the news of those passed and remind to it the disasters and calamities they have witnessed. Consider their status by expediency and caution and consider the impacts remained of them. Do not sell to the world, your future place and do not tell what you do not know. Do not consider prayers mean and behave the people with good language and good tradition. Compete with each other in making good and being just, … “ and he added: “I leave you tonight, to join Mohammad Mostafa (peace be upon him and his progeny) just as he had promised to me.”

Yes! Today is the day Amir Almomenin farewell to the people. When one third of 21^st night of Ramadan passed, his soul flied to God when he was 63 years old.

“Our greetings to you the Guardian of God, I witness that you were the first oppressed, the first one whose rights were wasted, who tolerated all the pains and troubles till he died.”   (Imam Hadi peace be upon him)
