Question
: Why did Imam Hossein go to
Mecca?
Answer:
After Yazid Ibn Moavieh ,became a king ,he was seeking
allegiance of Imam Hossein (p.b.u.h) as a representative of family
of prophet ,to confirm his government .Since one of the most
important contents of treaty of Imam Hossein (p.b.u.h) with Moavieh
Ibn Abisofyan was lack of succession of his son ,Yazid ,and infact
completion of region of sons of Omayeh After Moavieh ,when Yazid
became a king ,in fact this article of treaty was breached.Therfore
,Aba Abdolla (p.b.u.h) protested to this breech and did not make a
treaty with Yazid because of his totally non_ religious personality.
By
emphasizing much on the same fact ,Yazid requested the governor of
Madineh to have confirmation of Imam Hossein ; but,Aba Abdollah did
not accept it .Thus ,Hazrat and his family and relatives of prophet
had to immigrate .In Madineh ,some great people like Mihammad
Hanafieh, brother of Hazrat ,suggested him not to immigrate ,but he
did not accept it.
Imam Hossein (p.b.u.h)
considered immigration ,his density and his fulfillment of duties
and stated that his travel will have no return. Hazrat wrote the
suggestion necessary for administration of status of Moslems and
Shiite of Madineh in aletter he sent to Mohammad hanafieh and exited
Madineh to perform pilgrimage ceremonies.
